Since I had moved to Berlin I always wanted to shoot a movie there in winter. The look of the city in winter, those grey, flat, almost abstract backgrounds like in an old black and white photograph, the leaky sound of the rain covered streets and all the lights lit throughout the day which make you feel like an insomniac. This inescapable feel of loneliness, of people living side by side anonymously, not caring much about anything else but keeping their feet warm. „ZOOM“ is that movie.
